Recently, I placed an order on the Framework Desktop Mainboard without the case for $1800.

- AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395, a 16 core 32 thread Zen 5 CPU.
- AMD Radeon 8060S, an integrated GPU with 2560 shaders and shares memory with
- 128GB LPDDR5X-8000MHz, of which 96GB can be allocated to the GPU.
My plan was to offload important data from my main mission critical 9950X3D PC to this new PC to have as:
- file server hosting
- dedicated game server (BeamNG, Minecraft, etc)
- network attached storage
- AI inference
- media server
I have a few cases and method of power supply so this isn’t a concern for now. I do however plan to use the NFC Skyreach S4T case for this build. I will need:
- Meanwell 300-LOP-12 power supply
- or dual 300W power supplies if I plan to add dGPU
- custom cables for 24-pin ATX and 4+4 CPU EPS
- custom x4 to x16 riser cable for the closed end PCie slot on the Framework motherboard
- Samsung PM941 2TB drives (980 Pro for cheap) or other cheap PCIe Gen 4 drives
- slim Noctua A12x15 for S4T
- or Noctua A12x25 for different enclosure
